Babe of the Heavens

May 9, 2006

Remus screeched. The stomach-ache seemed to have reached the pinnicle of its pain. He was hurting so much that he cried even more than he had at Bambi or Watership Down. Why was this happening? His abdomen was on fire. Could it have been that borito…or perhaps those Cosmo-Crunch Alien Breakfast Cereals really disagreed with him?

No - he’d had stomach ache before. This felt like…well, it sounded so dumb, but…it felt like…giving birth…Maybe that was why he felt something land on the floor by his feet. But no…babies weren’t green, were they? Or were they? This ‘thing’ looked - and sounded - a lot like a baby. It had a nose, a little round head (for some odd reason a diaper, too) and hands and feet. The eyes were familiar - the eyes Remus saw when he peered in the mirror. HIS EYES! Gingerly, he stooped down to hold this thing - no, it wasn’t a thing. To Remus, it was a baby. His baby.

"Hey there, kiddo," he whispered, looking at him through glassy eyes. "Hey, shhh, stop crying, huh? Daddy’s here, daddy’ll look after you."

He managed to clean himself and the baby up - he recognised this newborn child as a boy. A beautiful baby boy sent down from the heavens to him! How wonderful!

"And you need a name, don’t you? I’ll call you Basalt, so you’ll always grow up to appreciate science. Basalt Remus Adonis Cosmos."

And right then and there, holding his son in his arms, Remus decided that this was the best thing to ever have happened to him.

  2. Thanks Shana - and thanks for looking at my site.

Basalt all ready has several siblings, and they are all adorable. Remus has beautiful genes, I think. Half the ladies in the neighbourhood are attracted to him.

  3. My “studious” male sim, Jamie, had alien twins last week! They were ugly as homemade sin, but he loves them. I can tell you that I’ll be giving them a facelift for their adult birthdays… They seriously need nose jobs!
